Philip: The Deacon & Evangelist

If we were to summarize this entire teaching in a few phrases, it would be:

 Evangelism is not a profession. It is a passion. And we must develop that passion. It is not a career. It is a calling. And we are all called.

In modern -day "progressive" society, it seems like Jesus' final instructions to go out and make disciples of all nations has been left behind as a relic of the past. However, when we look at the early church, we can see clearly that Jesus meant for us to continue spreading the good news and to be informed teachers of His word. 

Today, we learn from one of the pioneers of faith, Philip. A man who lived his life in utter devotion to the Lord, serving as a beautiful example and model for Christians to follow even now. This teaching covers all that one needs to become an evangelist, and the list isn't long. However, the real challenge starts after you finish watching this teaching. Will you take what you have learned and begin actively applying it in your life? That is the question, and the answer Jesus seeks is a yes.
