When we talk about having irresistible influence, the most important thing is for us to have the Lord on our side. Influence casts a spotlight on our lives, and while we often associate it with love and attention from others, it is also associated with attention from enemies. When we ask the Lord to take us to a higher level and place us where everyone can see, He will do so only when we are close to Him, so that we have the appropriate protection. Height also makes us an easier target. 

Although this focus might seem like something we should address at the end, after we have already attained the influence we desire, God's order differs from ours. We want to start off on the right foot so that when we get to where God is taking us, we don't fall easily. God bless you as you watch!
