To start off an entire year with so much emphasis on prayer can cause us to begin to wonder, "Why must we pray in 2025?" Sometimes we get overly familiar with verses such as Luke 18:1 where we are told, "Man ought always to pray and not to faint." But in the midst of so much knowledge, we can forget the main reasoning behind Jesus' words.
As we are stepping into this new year full of excitement, plans, and goals, the adversary is also crossing over with an agenda to frustrate us. We have been registered for a battle, without our consent, and so prayer is not an option but rather a necessity.Â
