What is your goal in life?
It's almost halfway through the year, but I'm sure we all still remember the goals and resolutions we set at the beginning of this year. Whether big or small, we all have goals for our school/work, and personal lives. However, at some points in our journey of life, we find ourselves in a situation where we can't accomplish all of our goals. Some things need to take priority over others, but how do we choose that? If we had to choose just one goal from our long list and only pursue that, what would it be?
According to the scriptures, the one goal you should choose is pleasing the Lord. Why is this a simple choice, and why should it be our default answer? The words in Matthew 6:33 tell us why: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."
Pleasing God is the first priority because everything else you need or would like comes directly from that, no matter how counter-cultural and counter-logical that might seem. You were made to please God, and so that is our main priority.
But beyond just saying the words, how can we live our lives in a way that is actually centered on God and pleasing Him? That's where this month's Lessons of Life comes into play! It simplifies and clarifies what it looks like to live a life that is focused on God, one that truly pleases Him. Click the video below to see it for yourself.
