Controlling the Tongue

James, the half-brother of Jesus has a lot of valuable advice for us in his short book. So if he decided to spend a whole 10 verses in James 3 talking solely about the tongue, you know that it must be very important. 

Our words are very important. Even in the secular world, that is a known and accepted fact. However, as Christians we are called to a higher standard. Our words are to edify and bring life. "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one." Colossians 4:6 (NKJV)
